Interior of the Brandon Gallery

This professional artists' cooperative was founded on Brandon Street in 1977 by three Fallbrook artists - Virginia Polise, Jeanne Shanahan, and Mary Tomaskevitch. In 2002, Brandon Gallery became part of Fallbrook Arts, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. This coalition creates closer alliances between active art groups and contributes to the growing strength of Fallbrook as an arts community. Brandon Gallery is now in the heart of historic downtown Fallbrook, and membership has expanded to nearly 30 members. It continues to promote and sell the work of regional fine artists and to enrich the community through exhibitions, demonstrations, and outreach programs.

Brandon is known for its diversity of art and artists. Frequently changing exhibits, member demonstrations and workshops, and collaborative programs ensure the vitality of the gallery. The gallery mounts at least two open-call exhibits annually, juried by regionally and nationally well-known artists. There are monthly "paint-ins" by gallery artists. Member artists rotate new work into the gallery at least every sixty days; and each month, a number of guest artists have their work on display. Additionally, prominent artists are invited to show as Featured Artists several times each year

Work in the gallery is presented in a variety of media - watercolor, oil, acrylic, mixed media, pastel, photography, printmaking, textile art, collage, assemblage, drawing, and digital. Brandon also sells consignment art from regional jewelry designers, ceramists, glass artists, and fiber artists.

There is a section of the gallery dedicated to the sale of artists' quality supplies; and the rear of the gallery houses JP Framing, a full-service, professional framing business operated by Jennifer Paprock.
