Special Exhibition Jessica Jang - May 1st - May 31st 2013

Brandon Gallery will feature a special exhibition featuring Korean-American artist Jessica Jange May 1 through 31, 2013, it was announced today.

Her work, which will be on display in Brandon's Studio 105 wing, illustrates the patterns and textures of natural subjects. Among the many pieces she will display are oils, acrylics and mixed media.

Jange, who is an active member of other art associations in the region, has shown many of her paintings in several well-known galleries in Orange and San Diego counties. She is currently director of the Orange County Korean Artist Association.

STATEMENT

Drawing inspiration from every life, I express my interest in self-expression by incorporating the symbol of natural subjects, their textures and patterns show in my oil painting, acrylics, and mixed media

In the process of completing an art work, I feel happy, worried, excited, and depressed: I sometimes drift away from it for a moment but find myself longing to back and work on my piece. Like so, artwork is a part of me and lifestyle.

The purpose of my work is not to state something It is simply an act to share my story It does not have to be a particular thing nor does it to be understood and acknowledged with admiration. Art itself is already a thing of a new world.
